GOV.UK licensing service application system extended

It has been reported by the IOL that that the online GOV.UK licensing service system due to end in March 2025 is to be extended by the Government Digital Service (GDS) for a further year – until March 2026. Further, the report confirms that options will be explored as to what will happen after that time.

As a firm that submits hundreds of applications through the online licensing service for our clients every year we welcome the news and hope that the licensing service will be able to continue in the same or similar format beyond March 2026.
